Plunderers again trying to befool masses thru catchy slogans: JI

LAHORE: Ameer, Jamaate Islami, Syed Munawar Hasan has said that the politicians who had turned the country into US orchard and were responsible for the sufferings of the masses were trying to befool the people through catchy slogans again.

Addressing the JI candidates for NA and provincial assembly from the central Punjab at Mansoora on Tuesday, he however, said that if the national affairs were decided on merit and the peoples’ representatives were sincere and honest, the country could be pulled out from the present mire and made to stand on its own feet within a short-time.

Munawar Hasan said that the Election Commission and the caretaker government had failed to come up to the people’s expectations with the result all those who had plundered the national wealth and accentuated the energy crisis were moving freely.

He said the energy crisis had created the problems of load shedding, closure of industrial units and ultimately led to mass unemployment. Price spiral had affected the purchasing power of the common man while load shedding has brought entire system to stand still.

He said that Almighty Allah had gifted this country with unlimited resources but it had been reduced to a beggar state only because of the corrupt practices and inefficiency of the rulers.

Munawar said that the parties ruling the country for last five years were conveying their manifestoes through huge advertisements. He said the people were already aware of their manifesto, which only increase their bank balances by serving the US agenda and compromising the national sovereignty.

He, however, said that the JI on coming to power would retrieve the plundered wealth from their coffers and utilize it for public welfare projects.
