SAO PAULO: Automobile production in Brazil rose 1 2.8 percent and sales increased 18.6pc in October from September, the national automakers' association said on Wednesday.
Automakers in Brazil produced about 318,700 new cars, trucks and buses last month, while sales totaled a bout 341,600 ve hicles, according to data released by industry group Anfavea.
Auto output had fallen 14.2 percent and sales contracted 31.4 percent in September.
Brazil is a key market for the world's biggest automakers, including Italy's Fiat SpA, Germany's Volkswagen AG and US-based General Motors Co and Ford Motor Co.
