Micheal Dell, the founder of Dell computers finally revealed the name of history’s biggest tech merger, the Dell-EMC fusion will be called ‘Dell Technologies’.
According to Times of India, as the merger enters the final phase, the legendary techie said "It has a nice sound to it,", Dell which last year announced the $70 billion merger with EMC, at the Venetian Convention Center where he was giving the keynote address at the annual EMC World Conference.
Dell while addressing IT and media professionals at the Venetian Convention Center at the annual EMC World Conference said, "to put it simply, this historic merger offers the best of innovation delivered with the highest of quality."
According to Khaleej Times, the new company would consists the combined enterprise infrastructure businesses of Dell and EMC, the PC business and businesses affiliated i.e. VMware, SecureWorks, Pivotal, Virtustream and RSA.
Dell said, "Our vision is a strategically aligned family of businesses that brings together customers' entire infrastructure, from hardware to software to services, from the edge to the core to the cloud."
"Dell Technologies will create more value for customers and partners than any other technology solutions provider today. We will be more nimble and innovative, and we will deliver world-class products and solutions to customers of all shapes and sizes," added Dell in his address.
