TOKYO: Japan Airlines said Wednesday it was extending the suspension of flights between Narita and Paris as demand remained slow following the November terror attacks in the French capital.
The airline had planned to cancel its flights between Narita International Airport, outside Tokyo, and Charles de Gaulle Airport from January 12 until the end of February.
But the carrier has now decided to extend the suspension until March 15.
"This is due to the decrease in demand after the terrorist attack" in November, JAL said in a brief statement.
The airline had operated one round trip a day between Paris and Narita.
JAL flights between Tokyo's main Haneda airport and Paris will continue normal operations, it added.
The carrier runs one round-trip flight a day between Haneda and Paris.
Gunmen and suicide bombers acting in the name of the Islamic State group attacked cafes, restaurants, a concert hall and the national stadium on November 13, leaving 130 dead in the French capital and leading many tourists to cancel their trips to the city.
