Apple is still the top ranking smartphone manufacturer based on a recent data released by comScore, a global media measurement and analytics company.
According to the released data, Apple, which has been recorded to have 43.6 percent of smartphone subscribers in the U.S., now ranks as the top Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).
When it comes to overall smartphone market share in the U.S., Apple still trails Android by nearly 10%.But if we break out market share figures across individual Android OEMs, it’s clear that the iPhone still reigns supreme by a wide margin. What’s more, Samsung, while still the top purveyor of Android handsets, is slowly but surely losing market share to other Android handset manufacturers, Yahoo! reported.
Year over year, Apple’s market share increased by 4% while Samsung’s dropped by a corresponding 4%.
However, as per the recent earnings revealed by Apple Inc. it seems that they will continue to dominate the U.S. market for coming few years.
