TORONTO: China's central bank welcomed the inclusion of the country's currency into the International Monetary Fund's benchmark currency basket on Monday, saying it was an endorsement of the country's economic development and its recent reforms.
"China will accelerate its promotion of financial reforms and openness," the People's Bank of China said in a statement.
