MOSCOW: The Russian Finance Ministry said on Monday it had placed $2.1 billion at a 28-day deposit auction at rate of 1.7 percent as it seeks to smooth the volatility of rouble.
The ministry said the placement met the full market demand. Last week, the ministry said it would offer up to $3 billion at the auction.
