JOHANNESBURG: South Africa's net gold and foreign exchange reserves fell to $47.211 billion at the end of February from $48.13 billion in January, data from the Reserve Bank showed on Thursday.
Gross reserves dipped to $50.374 billion in February from $51.227 billion in January while the forward position, which represents the bank's unsettled spot or swap transactions, was also lower at $4.669 billion from $4.791 billion in January.
