LB polls: JI Fata urges CJP to take suo motu action

Naib Amir, Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) Fata, Zar Noor Afridi has said that Chief Justice, Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry to take suo motu action to announce local boddies polls in the tribal area He has said that though preparations for the local bodies elections in all four provinces are continued, but there is no such activities in the region which an ample proof of the discriminatory treatment with tribesmen.

He said that local bodies polls is inevitable for the acceleration of development process in Fata, which would resolve maximum problems of the tribesmen and they would get their rights at their door steps and democracy would be strengthened at gross level. He said according to the Constitution of Pakistan, Fata is fifth unit of the country. Tribesmen are the citizens of Pakistan and time had come that the people of the region should also be included in the political and democratic steams of the country and the area would be put on the path of progress and development.
