Sindh government demanded to remove deputation staff from HDA

If officials working on deputation in Hyderabad Development Authority (HDA) are not transferred to their parent departments within 3-day, Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) would file contempt of court. President EJAC HDA, Muhammad Bashir Awan said while speaking in the press conference held at Hyderabad Press Club (HPC) on Tuesday.

"More than a dozen officers and lower grade employees are working on deputation in HDA", he said adding it is violation of a verdict of Supreme Court in Petition No 89/2011. In addition to this, it has affected promotions of senior officers who were supposed to be promoted and posted on those posts where officials from other departments were deputed, he added.

The post of secretary was to be filled through promotion of senior official of HDA while Sajjad Memon from Local Government Department was promoted from 18 to 19 grade and deputed as Secretary HDA which usurped right of most senior official of HDA supposed to be promoted to post of secretary.

Recently, Dr Javed Rajpar was transferred from Health Department and deputed at HDA, despite of knowing that there is no post of doctor in the department, he said. Other officials working on deputation included Suhail Ahmed Qureshi from Sewhan Development Authority (SDA), Muhammad Yaqoob from Malir Development Authority (MDA), Suleman from MDA, Ghulam Mustaf from MDA and Zakaullah from Taluka Municipal Administration (TMA), Biriya Road. Aside from this some lower grade employees working on deputation included Salah Palari from SDA, Ghulam Ahmed from SDA and Wajahat from Karachi Municipal Corporation (KMC).
