Expanding the Mall-scape

Watch out! Nishat Groups Emporium Mall is almost ready to take the retail mall platform in the country by storm. The shopping mall will be Pakistan's largest and most innovatively planned retail complex. It is situated in heart of Lahore city - Johar Town, near the Expo Centre.

The Emporium Mall is being developed in accordance with international standards of quality in the retail sector. The construction is in full swing with its international consultants like Australian retail consultant Tony Davis, project architects Marcus Wilkins & Ali Naqvi from AHR-Global, UK. Distinguishing features of this building are the complex steel roof, the facades, underground parking space for 2,000 cars and the detailed architecture.

Work on the 11 storied-project began early last year, and the progress has undoubtedly been very faced-paced with 85 percent of the project already complete. Spread over an area of 2.7 million square feet, key features of this mega project include a nine screen cinema complex, the countrys largest food court, banquet halls, restaurants and eateries, a dedicated high fashion retail area branded The Boulevard, a childrens recreational zone, a gold market, the renowned 5 star Nishat Hotel and the Malls hypermarket.

On the visit by the British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Mr. Philip Barton to the mall under construction just recently, Nishat Group Chairman Mian Mohammad Mansha highlighted how the Group aimed at scaling premium retail experience in the country, and how such mega projects end up opening doors to direct and indirect employment.

The progress of the development of the shopping mall can also be gauged by the crowdin of tenants for the
