HELSINKI: Inflation in Finland rose to 3.3 percent year-on-year in February compared to 3.0 percent in the previous month, outpacing inflation in the eurozone, official data released on Monday showed.

From January to February, consumer prices went up 0.6 percent.

"Inflation accelerated mainly due to risen rents of dwellings, and prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages," Statistics Finland said.

According to preliminary data on the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices, which European statistics agency Eurostat measures slightly differently, Finland's inflation rate in February was 3.5 percent, compared to 2.4 percent for the eurozone.
