IDPs returning to homes in Mohmand Agency

ISLAMABAD: The Internally Displaced Persons who were displaced from Mohmand Agency, due to military operation, have started returning to their home towns.

Hafiz Rashid Ahmad, Senate member from Mohmand Agency has said that the gas supply project for the area would be initiated soon, a private news channel reported.

Six hundred and twenty IDPs families have started returning to their homes in Dawizai locality of the agency. A number of other families had already returned to their homes in Safi and Ambar, tehsils of the agency after the completion of the military operation against militants in their respective tehsils.

Officials of the political administration told media that almost 800 land mines and other explosive material have been removed safely by security forces from Dawizai and Sagi.

The political administration has said that they are chalking out a plan for commencing reconstruction projects.
