Iraq: Five protesters were killed and 10 others wounded when security forces fired warning shots to disperse a demonstration in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul on Friday, police said.
The casualties were caused when the bullets, falling to earth after being fired into the air, struck demonstrators rallying in front of provincial government offices in the city, police First Lieutenant Sinan al-Juburi said.
