SUKKUR: Sindh High Court (SHC), Sukkur bench, comprising Justice Faisal Arab and Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar ordered repatriation of 10 officers to their parent departments immediately.

Out of these 10 officers, six had been posted as Executive District Officers (EDOs) while five of them were working as Deputy District Officers (DDOs).

The officers included Jai Ram Das (EDO Education), Akhtar Nabi Dogar (EDO Finance), Syed Sabir Hussain Shah (EDO Information), Abdul Jabbar Mari (EDO Services) and Umer Farooq Bullo (EDO Revenue).

The high court bench directed that all government officers must be posted against positions to which they fulfill the required criterion and that which are also in accordance to their seniority and merit.

The petitioner had maintained in his petition that the EDOs and the DDOs had been posted in different departments of Khairpur and Sukkur or to other senior positions in violation of the rules formulated by the government of Sindh.
