HYDERABAD: Sindh Secretary for Culture Abdul Aziz Uqaili informed here on Monday that an amount of Rs.100 million has been sanctioned for Mohen-jo-Daro and the provincial culture department is going to execute only devolved scheme namely Master Plan for Rehabilitation and Culture Tourism (MPRCT).
In a statement, he informed that Sindh Culture Department has also decided to regularize the services of 24 employees of National Fund for Mohen-jo-Daro.
He said that since the archeological site of Mohen-jo-Dar was devolved to Sindh Government in April, 2011. The provincial government immediately notified the setting up of the Executive Board under Chairmanship of Sindh Minister for Culture and Technical Consultative Committee (TCC) headed by Prof. Dr. Nilofer Shaikh, Vice Chancellor Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur.
