Kareena to appoint ‘Chikni Chameli’ choreographer for ‘Halkat Jawani’

KARACHI: Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor has appointed the choreographer of “Chikni Chameli” for her next item song “Halkat Jawani”.

According to media sources, at the start of the year Kapoor had called Ganesh Acharya to direct Halkat Jawani, her item song in Heroine.

Sources added that after accepting the offer Acharya was stressed because Director Madhur Bhandarkar and Kapoor has given him clear instructions that Halkat Jawani should be better than Katrina Kaif’s Chikni Chameli.

According to Acharya, "It's not just Madhur Bhandarkar and Kareena Kapoor who want the song to outdo Chikni Chameli but also a lot of people from the industry are expecting the same."

He added, "After Chikni Chameli, there was definitely a lot of pressure to create the magic in Halkat Jawani, but this song, I guarantee, is going to be a dhamaka."

The choreographer is confident for Halkat Jawani and he promised that the song will be the song of the year.
