Watching videos online is a favourite pastime for today’s tech savvy generation, however, the popular time pass is subject to a reliable source of internet, a luxury in a country like Pakistan.
But great news for all the online addicts, the world largest video sharing platform Youtube, has enabled an offline feature to its website that allows Pakistani users to download videos, they can watch when offline.
The offline feature was introduced months ago by the Google-owned video giant, but was available to selected countries. Now, the feature is available in Pakistan, and viewers are now seeing the ability to download videos for offline usage available in their Youtube apps, reported Tech Juice.
Now, how to save a video for offline viewing, one must need to download a video, all one need to do is click the download icon featured situated at the bottom of each video. Users can also choose the desired video qualities for offline playback. Select your quality and then click OK to start the process.
The video will start downloading immediately and you can see its progress in the notification in the center. The newly available feature is available on both iOS and Android devices.
However, there are limits to everything, i.e. the video playback feature is available for a limited number of videos, and also for only 48 hours without any internet, after which the video has to be downloaded again, meaning reconnecting to the internet.
