For all the iPhone lovers, their respective smartphones are the basic must have, but like all other electronic devices these iPhones must be handled with care for their own safety.
A terrible incident occurred to a British mountain biker who suffered horrible injuries after his iPhone exploded, leaving him for the need of skin grafting. Yes, you heard it right the iPhone explosion is real.
Gareth Clear, 36, was riding around Manly Dam in Australia on Sunday when he fell from his bike, landing on his iPhone 6, reported The Sun.
"I fell to the side on my bike, the phone was in a rear pocket ... I looked at my right-hand side and I just saw smoke coming from the back of my shorts,” he informed. "There was this intense heat generated from my pocket ... it melted through my shorts and gave me third-degree burns in the upper right-hand side of my thigh."
As per The Indian Talks, Clear was wearing shorts of thin cloth when the phone exploded burning through his two layers of skin of his upper right thigh.
“It’s a bit random, the thing to be very specific about, the phone did hit the ground, it didn’t just spontaneously combust,” said Clear. “It was a one in one million chance I hit a part of the phone which pierced the lithium battery and it exploded.”
One should be careful with lithium batteries as they are dangerous if handled unwisely.
