As the world is gripped in Pokemon Go fever, the sensational augmented reality game. We are now seeing reports that a brand-new live-action Pokémon movie awaits and is officially going to begin production in 2017.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the entertainment firm Legendary and The Pokemon Co. has announced that they will launch the first ever Pokemon live-action film franchise based on ‘Detective Pikachu,’ a new character in the Pokemon.
As per reports, the new movie will be based on ‘Detective Pikachu’ game, which has only released in Japan. The Tech Insider reported, that as the name the game revolves around the detective solving different mysteries around town.
After Pokemon Go, an app game became a phenomenon days after its July 6 launch, Legendary set about closing the deal with The Pokemon Co., the Japanese firm that has rights to the Pokemon franchise.
