Singer Rihanna has been named the new creative director of sportswear brand ‘Puma’. The singer will work with ‘Puma’ to create new styles to the ‘Puma’ products.
She began her partnership at Puma’s Herzogenaurach, Germany Head Quarters on Monday, where she held her ‘first creative session with the design team, picking out colours, styles and discussing the line’s direction’, media reported.
Puma's CEO Bjorn Gulden said, “Signing Rihanna is a fantastic step for Puma. Her global profile, her charisma and individuality, her ambition – all these things make her a perfect ambassador for our brand. With a strong portfolio in football, running and motorsport, finding an inspiring partner for women's training was very important. Rihanna was a natural choice for us. We're delighted to have her as a partner, and we're looking forward to what's to come”.
As source revealed Rihanna has admitted that she is honoured to get this chance. She posted, “The face you make when you the ‘Creative Director’ of a sportswear company Puma”. She announced her huge new collaboration on social media, wearing an all-white ensemble, including a fur-embellished topper, cozy sweats, a ton of pearl necklaces and of course her Puma sneakers.
From January next year, she will work with Puma’s internal product creation team to design new collections for women’s training but also customize classic Puma styles. Rihanna will also become the face of Puma’s women’s training category.
