Popular British bands ‘One Direction’ and ‘Coldplay’ has been finalized to perform at the inaugural BBC Music Awards along with Ed Sheeran, Calvin Harris and Paloma Faith.
According to foreign media reports, On December 11 at London’s Earls Court, the BBC have decided to hold their own first music awards ceremony, which will be broadcasted live on BBC One, and hosted by TV personalities Chris Evans and Fearne Cotton.
‘Coldplay’ lead singer Chris Martin said in an interview, “We’re really looking forward to the BBC Music Awards. It’s an incredible lineup and we’re honoured to be part of it,” media reported.
During the event, three prestigious awards will be presented which includes ‘British Artist of the Year’, ‘International Artist of the Year’ and ‘Song of the Year’. Winners for the top two awards will be decided by a panel of industry experts while ‘Song of the Year’ will be chosen by a public vote.
The event will see different international artists coming together to celebrate the music of 2014 along with some amazing musical performances by the biggest names in the music industry.
