KARACHI: The American singer Rihanna’s decision to post tweet in support of Palestine back fired.
According to media reports, “The singer posted the hashtag ‘FreePalestine’ on her official feed on Tuesday morning (15 July). Within just eight minutes, she swiftly deleted it, but not before she received a barrage of replies”.
It was quite evident from her act that she quickly realised the short and snappy message about Israel-Palestine war won’t please her fans and followers.
The tweet created lots of rift when around 36.4 million fans asked her ‘why she is pro-Palestine,’ Media reported.
According to media sources, source close to Rihanna defended her saying, “She deleted it because it was never meant to be tweeted, and she didn’t even realize it was a tweet until she started hearing from her fans”. The source added that Rihanna was not taking sides she is pro-peace, she doesn’t want innocent people dying”.
However, Rihanna is not the only one who have been criticised for such act. Two years back famous Kim Kardashian was forced to justify her post “Praying for everyone in Palestine and across the world."
