KARACHI: The name Rohit Shetty is synonymous with comedy and entertainment. Now he seeks to reinforce this image with his latest release “Bol Bachan.”
In the opening credits of the film Rohit Shetty thanks Aamir Khan; For his latest project “Bol Bachan,” Shetty asked Khan to lend his famous song “Bhaag DK Bose” from his production “Delhi Belly”.
Shetty uses the song for the musical sequence of Abhishek Bachchan as it suits his character in the film.
The team approached Aamir Khan as the rights belong to him. According to sources, “The copyright of the songs are usually held by music companies from which permission is taken before they are used. Otherwise there is a copyright infringement issue. For every song utilised, a royalty has to be given to them, but in Aamir Khan’s case as the rights are with him, the royalty goes to him.”
When Director Shetty and Producer Ajay Devgan asked Khan for the “economies of trade”, he apparently refused to accept any money and the makers behind the expected hit are thankful to him for the generous gesture.
