Fans have been stoked about Gauri Shinde film starring Alia Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan. To see the two stars, from two different generations, work together for a slice-of-life movie is a dream comes true for many. The announcement caused a lot of comment, not just because Shah Rukh and Alia were teaming up for a project for the first time, but because of the age difference between them.
However, with the film’s ‘first look’ being released on Tuesday, in a sequence of Twitter exchanges between Alia and Shah Rukh, it has been clear that Gauri’s film isn’t just about an unusual couple.
Alia first tweeted a note with a photo from the movie. In the photo, Alia and Shah Rukh Khan look like they are deep in conversation. “Dear Zindagi, Is it OK to not be OK?” she tweeted, tagging Khan.
SRK replied, “Dear Alia, See the Sun is up. The sky is kind of blue. Sort of beautiful. So it’s OK if you are not OK. As long as you take care of one person. And that one person is you.”
The conversion went further with more tweets, hinting about SRK and Alia Bhatt’s role in the movie. Reportedly, Alia plays the role of a filmmaker, whereas SRK plays the role of her guide. The film will hit the screens on November 25.
Apart from Alia Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan, the movie also stars Aditya Roy Kapoor, Ali Zafar, Angad Negi and Kunal Kapoor. All of these actors will be shown to have very different personalities and Alia’s character will interact with them in different ways. While some media reports have termed Shah Rukh’s role in the film as an extended cameo with a screen, time not amounting to more than a half hour or so.
