Kanye West latest single ‘Famous’ when released in February 2016, there was a lot of controversy surrounding the song's mention of Taylor Swift. Swift also got furious over the lyrics and using her inappropriate footage in the video. But on this Sunday's ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’, wife Kim insists that Taylor did know all about the song.
Kim Kardashian said that Taylor Swift signed off on the infamous line in Kanye West's ‘Famous’ and revealed that there's video evidence of the exchange. She also posted the footage of the phone call onto her Snapchat Story.
In the undated video, people see her husband Kanye West apparently on a speakerphone call with Taylor Swift, informing her that he was referencing her in his song ‘Famous’. Swift appears to be heard on the other end calling the shout-out ‘tongue in cheek’ and saying that she ‘really appreciate[d]’, Time.com reported.
Later, Taylor Swift has posted a note to Instagram, saying that she didn't know she was being recorded, she never heard the finished song before it was released, and that she did not approve of being called ‘b****’.
Best friend Selena Gomez also came to Swift’s rescue and said, “There are more important things to talk about... Why can't people use their voice for something that f***ing matters?”. “Truth is last thing we need right now is hate, in any form. This industry is so disappointing yet the most influential smh,” she added.
