imageActor Tiger Shroff has been slowly and steadily making his mark in Bollywood. But, his recent comment on the origin of martial art Kung Fu in India has not gone down well with the people of China and actor Jackie Chan who is master of this art.

In an interview to an Indian media, Shroff said, “Kung fu is the most ancient of all martial arts and is the art of fighting without weapons. The art of fighting without fighting as I like to say! There are conflicting opinions on whether it actually originated from the teachings of an Indian Buddhist monk, Bodhidarma, who arrived in China from India in the 6th century or not”.

This comment of his has not only shocked the martial arts maestro Jackie Chan but it has also made him extremely curious about the subject, since Kung Fu has been an extremely important part of his career.

After making his smashing debut with ‘Heropanti’ he will be seen in one of the most difficult movies of all-time. Tiger will be seen performing martial arts in his upcoming film ‘Baaghi: A Rebel For Love’, which also stars Shraddha Kapoor.

According to IBTtimes India, This statement has not only miffed Hong Kong martial artist-actor Jackie Chan, but also the people of China have raised questions about it. “We have received several questions on this matter, but it's natural for this entire debate to arise as from centuries Kung Fu has been established as a form of martial arts which was born in China," director Sabbir Khan said in a statement.

Directed by Sabbir Khan and produced under the Sajid Nadiadwala’s banner, ‘Baaghi’ will hit theatres on April 29, 2016.
