imageVarious celebrities had some unbelievable lives before they made it big in the entertainment industry. They took great pain to overshadow their past and reach where they are now. Here are few inspirational stories of world’s biggest stars.

Amitabh Bachchan

During his struggling days, Amitabh Bachchan had spent a few nights on a bench at Marine Drive, Mumbai. He loves to point out to the bench every time he drives past it. Sr. Bachchan was paid Rs 1000 for his debut movie and now he is one of the highest paid actors of the world. A man known for his baritone voice which can cast spells on anyone listening was initially rejected from a radio station only because of his voice.

Brad Pitt

One of the Hollywood’s leading men was a ‘chicken mascot’ before entering into showbiz. His first employer was El Pollo Loco (Crazy Chicken) and he had to dress as a chicken, hand out flyers, and attract customers to the restaurant. He also chauffeured strippers in a limousine. “My job was to drive them to bachelor parties and things,” he told People magazine. After landing his place in cinematic history as a hunky (and shirtless) criminal, Pitt has become one of the Hollywood’s biggest star.

Irrfan Khan

Irrfan Khan has emerged as one of the critically acclaimed actors of Bollywood. His own graduation degree turned out to be ‘useless’ for his career as an actor. He followed his passion to be an actor and has proved himself as one of the best performer in Indian film fraternity.

Irrfan didn’t have enough money to buy the ticket for the first Jurassic Park movie when it released in 1993, because he was still a struggling actor trying to find his foothold in the industry, dabbling between films and television. Now, he starred in the latest installment of Jurassic World. Through The Namesake, A Mighty Heart, Life of Pi and The Amazing Spider-Man, Khan has managed to make space in the west. He has also landed a role in ‘Inferno’, where he will soon share screen space with Tom Hanks.

Matthew McConaughey

According to Yahoo.com, while McConaughey was living in Australia as a Rotary exchange student, he earned money by cleaning chicken coops. On the side, he washed dishes as well. Still, he doesn't regret his odd-end jobs while traveling. “Those types of trips are really ones that leave a lasting impression," he says.

McConaughey’s on-screen hits were an extension of his easy manner and humour. He had established his name and bank balance in hit romantic comedies such as ‘The Wedding Planner’, ‘How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days’ and ‘Failure To Launch’.

Rajinikanth

One of the most loved celebrities of Indian film fraternity, Rajnikanth is a self-made man. Before becoming the ‘Thalaivaa’ he did various jobs, that of a coolie, a carpenter and a bus conductor, to make a living. He then began to take part in stage plays where he was spotted by a Tamil film director K Balachander. Now, when it comes to accolades, Rajinikanth has won more than his fair share.

Megan Fox

The actress/model used to wear a banana costume to attract customers to a smoothie shop in Florida. On the Ellen DeGeneres show, she admitted that it was the only real job she had. “I had the option of apple or banana. I always went with banana because it was thinner,” she said. Fox had appeared in movies like ‘Transformers’, ‘Zero Ville’ and ‘Jennifer's Body’.

Sylvester Stallone

Stallone took a number of odd jobs, he worked as a hairdresser, cleaned out the lion’s cages at Central Park Zoo and ushered at the Walter Reade cinema chain. While waiting for his acting career to take off, the ‘Rambo’ actor struggled a lot to earn big for himself.

Now, after 40 years in the business, Stallone has become one of the finest action stars of all time. He gave hits in form of ‘Rambo’, ‘Rocky’ and ‘The Expendables’.
