Bollywood actress Nargis Fakhri who has her roots in Pakistan, has now expressed her desire to visit the country. She feels unfortunate to never have been able to visit Pakistan.
Nargis Fakhri was born in New York to a Pakistani father Muhammed Fakhri and mother Marie Fakhri. Her father died when she was young, and she had little chance to connect with her roots.
In an interview with BBC, ‘Rockstar’ actress said, “I don’t know anybody there (Pakistan) after my father’s death because of which I never got the opportunity to go there. I heard the food there is amazing and I’m a big foodie. I would definitely want to go there for a food journey maybe that will be a good thing”.
“I am upset with my father for not teaching me Urdu. It is such a beautiful language. I have always had difficulty speaking in Urdu and always will because no one in my family or friends circle speaks it. But even though I may not speak it, I can understand it and I am glad to know I have learnt something,” she added.
From the time she debuted in B-Town, she was labelled as the ‘Pakistani actress making her debut in Bollywood’. She will now make her Hollywood debut in ‘Spy’.
