Indian political activist Sadhvi Prachi, who is known for her controversial statements, said that actor Salman Khan got bail because he is a Muslim.
According to India Today, Sadhvi Prachi said, “Had Salman Khan not been a Muslim, justice would have been granted to poor victims”. She also demanded release of Sadhvi Pragya, who is in jail for her involvement in the Malegaon blasts.
Prachi went on to say that Khan has no right to have alcohol and run over homeless on the pavements. The VHP leader also slammed Salman’s supporter and singer Abhijeet who called poor victim who was sleeping on the pavement as ‘dogs’. Prachi said that strict action should be taken against people with such thoughts, Indian media reported.
Few days back ‘Dabbang’ actor called himself half Muslim and half Hindu in court, which raised a lot more criticisms on him.
The Bombay High Court on Friday suspended Salman Khan’s sentence and granted him bail till next hearing. A huge social media debate had erupted after a trial court awarded a five-year jail sentence to Khan on Wednesday.
