Interference of politically backed up unions that disrupt the shooting of big Bollywood celebrities is a common practice in India. The latest victim is none other than ‘King of Bollywood’ Shah Rukh Khan who fall victim to one such union.
According to Mid-Day, a source revealed, “Shah Rukh was shooting for a commercial last Saturday night when a group of 50-60 political activists landed at the doorstep and threatened to stop the shoot. They objected to the producer roping in foreign artistes without permission and demanded to see their documents. The studio bouncers and members of the production team prevented them from entering the set”.
“When we refused, they started arguing and threatening us. That's when we had to call the police,” the insider added.
SRK’s ad shoot was put on hold for some time until cops reached the spot and handle the situation. Reportedly, activists have also asked the makers to pay Rs. 3-4 lacs as a fine to employ foreign artistes instead of their local talents.
