Shoojit Sircar's unveiled the official trailer of ‘Piku’ on Wednesday in the presence of the entire star cast, including mega star Deepika Padukone, Irrfan Khan and Amitabh Bachchan.
The trailer promises a sweet family drama where a young woman shoulders the responsibility of her '90-year-old kid' as Irrfan calls Amitabh in ‘Piku’ while Amitabh Bachchan is the most important person in Deepika Padukone's life in the movie.
The movie is a story based on the relationship between a father and a daughter, Deepika playing the daughter and Big B is her ailing father. ‘Piku’ which also portrays the strength of a young woman, handling a full-time job, responsibilities at home and being the sole rock supporting and shouldering the task of looking after her father. It recognizes and celebrates the multitasking that women in society undertake effortlessly on a daily basis.
The most anticipated films of the year ‘Piku’, starring Deepika Padukone, Irrfan Khan and Amitabh Bachchan is set to hit theatres on May 8.
