Shraddha Kapoor is one of the talented actresses who has not only won millions of hearts with her acting and good looks in movies like ‘Ek Villain’ and ‘Haider’ but has also been praised for her melodious voice.
She has mesmerized the audience with her soulful voice as she sang the unplugged version of the song ‘Galliyan’ from ‘Ek Villain’. As per Indian media reports Shraddha was overwhelmed at such an honour and got emotional as she went up on the stage to receive the GIMA Award. She dedicated the award to her mother who was sitting in the audience.
Shraddha said, “It was a very emotional moment for me to get this kind of recognition for one of my other passions; singing. It’s more special as my mom sat there in the audience, beaming with pride”.
Previously, she has received a Filmfare nomination in ‘Best Actress’ category for her breakthrough role in the highly successful romantic drama ‘Aashiqui 2’ (2013). She featured in the commercially successful thriller ‘Ek Villain’ (2014) and the critically acclaimed drama ‘Haider’ (2014).
Shraddha Kapoor is now busy shooting for Remo DSouza’s ‘ABCD 2' opposite Varun Dhawan.
