The Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan might replace Saif Ali Khan to play a scheming womaniser in Reema Kagti’s next.
According to Indian media reports, Fawad Khan is slated to play a scheming womanizer in Reema Kagti’s film ‘Mr. Chaloo’. As the title suggests, Fawad will reportedly play a handsome charmer who will traps women in his romance and then flees with their money. Saif Ali Khan was previously approached for the movie, but he couldn’t do it because of pay issues. Even Shahid Kapoor was considered for the role, but the actor had no dates to spare.
Mumbai Mirror reports that a source close to the development shared that the deal with Fawad was finalized when he had been in India for the Filmfare Awards, where he picked up the accolade for ‘Best Debut’.
The movie will be produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani and is being directed by Reema Kagti of ‘Talaash’ fame. ‘Queen’ actress Kangana Ranaut was being considered to play the lead actress in the movie but she has also dropped the project to feature in Sujoy Ghosh's adaptation of the Japanese novel, ‘The Devotion of Suspect X’.
However, no official confirmation has been made by the Pakistani actor or the filmmakers yet.
