Tom Cruise will be back in theaters as Ethan Hunt sooner than expected. The movie which was expected to hit theatres by the end of 2015 has now been preponed to avoid competition with ‘Star Wars’.
According to foreign media reports, Since MI5 will be completed earlier than expected, the studio has decided to distance the film from J.J. Abram’s ‘Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens’ which rolls into theaters on December 18.
Reportedly, DreamWorks Animation shifted ‘Kung Fu Panda 3’ from that same release date all the way into March, 2016. And that reason is that 1600 pound gorilla opening on December 18th, 2015.
Last ‘Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol’ was a hit for Paramount, taking in $209 million domestically and $485 million from abroad. In all, the franchise has generated more than $2 billion worldwide.
Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, Tom Cruise will reprise his role as Ethun Hunt this July 2015.
