‘Vampire Diaries’ star Ian Somerhalder got engaged to ‘Twilight’ actor Nikki Reed after dating her for six months.
US Weekly confirms that Somerhalder proposed to the actress, best known for playing Rosalie Hale in the ‘Twilight’ film adaptations, after six months of dating. ‘She accepted with glee,’ a source told US magazine. ‘She is madly in love’.
Engagement rumours starts buzzing at the Golden Globe after-party, where Somerhalder was spotted wrapping his arms around his fiancée and getting affectionate. The ‘Twilight’ actress even tried to keep the whole thing under wraps by wearing the reported engagement ring on her Right hand instead of the usual left digit to throw everyone off, foreign media reported.
The couple has been spotted together on different occasions, they also moved-in together in July last year.
Nikki Reed announced her split from her husband, American Idol musician Paul McDonald in March 2014. Ian, meanwhile, dated his ‘Vampire Diaries’ co-star Nina Dobrev for three years until they ended their romance in May 2013.
