Bollywood heartthrob Salman Khan has topped the Forbes list of ‘100 Superstars in India’ beating ‘King of Bollywood’ Shahrukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan.
With two major box office hits in 2014, ‘Jai Ho’ and ‘Kick’ along with his reality show ‘Bigg Boss 8’, Salman has made it to the top, both in terms of earnings and fame.
According to Forbes, “Since Forbes started the rankings it is the first time that ShahRukh Khan has been toppled from first place. Shah Rukh Khan’s ranking this year dropped to number 2 with earnings of Rs 202.4 crore. His fame rank dropped to seven, leaving his overall ranking at number 3. Salman was number 1 on both counts”.
Salman Khan occupied top spot with Rs. 244.5 crore along with Amitabh Bachchan holding second position with Rs. 196.75 crore and more than 12 million fans on Twitter.
Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan who has a big release this year ‘PK’ has been placed on seventh position with Rs. 80.47 crore. Last year, his single release ‘Dhoom 3’ broke all box office records.
Other celebs made up to the top ten of the list includes MS. Dhoni, Akshay Kumar, Virat Kohli, Deepika Padukone, Hrithik Roshan and Sachin Tendulkar.
