J. K. Rowling is going to make the holiday season even more fun with her latest project on the website Pottermore.com. She will publish 12 new ‘Harry Potter’ stories on the website.
The author made the announcement on Facebook, saying the stories will be available each day from 1pm GMT for fans who solve an online riddle. Most of the stories will focus on minor characters to give a new point of view. Some of the rewards will be stories about moments from ‘Half-Blood Prince’ Draco Malfoy and Florean Fortescue.
As source revealed that, this is not the first time Rowling publish new stories on ‘Pottermore.com’. In October 2014, she wrote a back story about the terror teacher Dolores Umbridge. It was a more detailed story about Umbridge alone. Rowling even gave her personal opinion about the character.
The new material will include ‘shiny gold Galleons and even a new potion or two’, the author said. The fictional boy wizard has made a few appearances this year in similar publications by the author, but there are no known plans for a new book to follow after the seventh and last volume published in 2007, media reported.
‘Harry Potter’ has been one of the greatest ever publishing successes, with more than 450 million copies sold around the world and the films raking in $7.57 billion at the box office
A surprise story will be published every day at 1:00 p.m. GMT, starting from December 12, 2014.
