Actor Keanu Reeves is said to be in negotiations to star in ‘The Panopticon’ under the direction of Tarsem Singh. ‘The Matrix’ actor is in talks with ‘Good Universe’ to take on the lead role in the upcoming action-thriller.
As source reveals that, The film ‘Panopticon’ is based on a script by Craig Rosenberg in which a seemingly ordinary man who receives a mysterious package containing a pre-recorded message from himself, warning that the world is about to end and only he can save it. He must race against the clock to piece together the puzzle before time runs out for mankind.
Director Tarsem Singh is set to helm the film which features a script by ‘The Quiet Ones’ scribe Craig Rosenberg. Andrew Lazar will produce the film which is executive produced by Nathan Kahane and Joe Drake of Good Universe.
Keanu Reeves, who is best known for playing the role of Neo in ‘The Matrix’ trilogy, was last seen in revenge thriller ‘John Wick’ and recently wrapped filming on ‘Knock Knock' and courtroom drama ‘The Whole Truth’.
The movie is in pre-production stage and no release date is currently set for the movie.
