Bollywood actors Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh are all set to clash at the box-office as Ranbir’s ‘Tamasha’ and Ranveer’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’ will be releasing by the end of 2015.
‘Tamasha' is a romantic flick directed by Imtiaz Ali, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in lead roles whereas 'Bajirao Mastani' is a period film romance film, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film is based on the love story between Maratha Peshwa Bajirao played by Ranveer Singh and his second wife Mastani played by Deepika Padukone.
According to media reports, Sajid Nadiadwala, producer of ‘Tamasha’ has decided to release the film next Christmas and Sanjay Leela Bhansali has also chosen the same date to release the magnum opus on Christmas 2015.
Calling the release of both the big banners on the same day not so good trend, trade analyst Taran Adarsh said, “There is still a lot of time for the dates to be changed but I feel that two big films releasing on the same day, whether it is on a festival or an ordinary day, is not a good trend. The business and audience of both films gets divided,” media reported.
Now reports are that both films are expected to hit theatres together on December 25, 2015. If filmmaker doesn’t come up to postpone or pre-pone the release of their respective films then there will be a big clash at the box-office by two major films.
