J.K Rowling, an author of famous fantasy novel ‘Harry Potter’ is all set release a short movie of her famous franchise on Halloween day. Rowling recently announced it on her official Harry Potter website.
Author J.K. Rowling announced Friday, Oct. 24, that she will publish a brand-new story on her Pottermore website on Halloween, Oct. 31. Rowling shared the news with fans in a Pottermore update, adding that her latest work will not be centered on the series’ hero ‘Harry Potter’ but rather, one of his biggest foes, ‘Dolores Umbridge’, foreign media reported.
‘Umbridge’ first appeared in the fifth Harry Potter book, ‘Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix’ as the Minister for Magic’s Senior Undersecretary. In the books, she was arrested and sentenced to a life sentence in Azkaban for crimes against Muggle-borns. “Umbridge is not only one of the most malicious Potter characters, she is the only person other than Lord Voldemort to leave a permanent physical scar on Harry,” said the statement on Pottermore.com.
Reportedly, she is currently working on the screenplay for the three-part film adaptation of Harry Potter spin-off ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them’. The first installment is due in 2016.
