‘Game of Thrones’ actress Nathalie Emmanuel has been roped in for the sequel of ‘The Maze Runner’ called ‘The Scorch Trials’.
According to foreign media reports, Emmanuel will play the role of Harriet, the leader of a group of girl’s escapes from another maze that meets up with O'Brien’s group. The character also figures into the installment. 20th century Fox had acquired the rights to ‘The Scorch Trials’.
‘The Maze Runner’ is the first book written by James Dasher which is based on young adult ‘post-apocalyptic’ science fiction trilogy, while ‘The Maze Runner’ sequel ‘The Scorch Trails’ is a young adult ‘dystopian’ science fiction story.
‘The Maze Runner’ was released on September this year and has received positive response and success altogether. Since its release, the film has grossed over $257 million worldwide against its budget of $34 million.
Other actors who have already joined ‘The Scorh Trails’ team includes Aidan Gillen, Rosa Salazar, Giancarlo Esposito, Dylan O'Brien and Will Poulter. ‘The Scorch Trails’ will be directed by Wes Ball and will be produced by Temple Hill Entertainment and the Gotham Group, media reported.
‘Game of Thrones’ actress Nathelie Emmanuel will also be seen doing a cameo in an upcoming ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise which has been planned for 2015 release.
