‘Student of the Year’ coming age romantic comedy was directed by Karan Johar in 2012. Two years back, Karan Johar has introduced three of the biggest stars of the new generation.
The filmmaker took to Twitter to celebrate the milestone by sharing a poster of the 2012 movie, which marked the acting debut of Alia Bhatt, Siddharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan. “Celebrating two years of ‘Student of The Year’”, read the picture posted by Karan Johar on Twitter.
The film also had Rishi Kapoor, Sana Saeed, Ronit Roy, Ram Kapoor and Farida Jalal in supporting roles, besides featuring Boman Irani, Kajol, Farah Khan and Vaibhavi Merchant in guest appearances. ‘Student of the Year’ was a critical and commercial success and gained positive to mixed reviews from critics and good box office collections. Even today, the songs from the film create mass hysteria at parties and social gatherings.
Karan Johar is always known for making glamorous movies; ‘Student of the Year’ was one of those biggest blockbusters of the year whose party songs and star cast became young guns of the country.
Today, Alia Bhatt, Siddharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan being new age sensations, thank Karan Johar for all the super stardom that they have received over the past two years.
