Hollywood superstar Brad Pitt’s upcoming action-drama film ‘Fury’ will be released in India on October 31, a week after Shahrukh Khan’s 'Happy New Year' to avoid competition with it.
According to media reports, “ ‘Happy New year' is coming out too which will definitely will be a priority watch for the audience as most people wish to during this period watch movies with their families," said Deepak Sharma, chief operating officer, PVR Pictures, film's distributors in India.
Reportedly, The distributors of ‘Fury’ in India will release the film once the festivities have wound down and die-hard fans of Shahrukh Khan have at least seen ‘Happy New Year’ once in the theaters. Deepak Sharma, chief operating officer, PVR Pictures, is confident ‘Fury’ will also do well in India.
As source revealed Sharma said in a statement, “However, since the worldwide release is October 17 and that's peak family time in India, given the festivities of ‘Diwali’ we took a conscious call to push the release”.
Fury is a war drama starring Brad Pitt and its trailer has been receiving rave reviews across the globe.
