The biopic based on American football coach Joe Paterno has been put on hold due to pre-production budget issues. The film stars Al Pacino and Brian De Palma in the lead roles.
The film is based on the book Paterno by Joe Posnanski. It follows the Penn State head football coach, who was fired after it was discovered he and other big names in football were aware that former defensive co-ordinator Jerry Sandusky was molesting children, media reported.
The creation team of the movie said the project is still intact just been postponed due to some budget issues. It will resume soon in collaboration with HBO.
