‘Harry Potter’ star Daniel Radcliffe has opened up about his romantic side at the West End premiere of the film in which he makes his debut as a leading man in a romantic comedy. Radcliff is similar to his off-screen self, especially when it comes to being a ‘romantic’ at heart.
According to media reports,”The 25-year-old actor, who is dating actress Erin Drake, said he found playing a romantic role interesting as the character bears similarities with him”.
Radcliffe said, “I am fairly romantic, at least as my character is in the film. I’ve surprised people with trips to New York before and such things. But sometimes it backfires on me,” media reported.
He plays Wallace, a medical school drop-out who falls in love with his closest friend played by Zoe Kazan, in the film.
“It (being a romantic lead) was great fun. But when approaching the film, I don’t think I thought, ‘It’s this genre’ so I have to act a certain way. You just approach it as a character. He’s the closest character to me that I’ve played,” he said in an interview.
