imageBollywood ‘dream girl’ Hema Malini has played romantic heroine in over 100 Hindi films. Now, she is back to sizzle on big screen.

Also starring in the film is actor Rajkummar Rao, who said in an earlier interview that the movie is unusual and that he’s excited about romancing Bollywood’s Dream Girl, media reported.

According to media reports, Rajkummar further said that he has so far not got an opportunity to meet Hema Malini, but it’s a dream come true to share the screen space with her.

Malini is one of the most successful female film stars in the history of Indian cinema. Appearing in over 150 films in a career span of 40 years, she has starred in a large number of successful films, and her performances in both commercial and art house cinema were often recognized. During her career, she has been nominated 11 times for the ‘Filmfare Award for the Best Actress’ of which she won once in 1972. In 2000, she was presented with the ‘Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award. In the same year, she was honored with the Padma Shri , the fourth-highest civilian honor, by the Government of India In 2012.

Some of my most important films, Andaz, Seeta Aur Geeta or Sholay have been with Ramesh Sippy. She said, “I get the feeling this new film with Rameshji would be another important film in my career.” Their last film together was 1972 hit comedy Sita Aur Geeta, about twin sisters.

Sippy will again direct her new upcoming movie ’Shimla Mirchi’ which will go on floors in mid-September 2014.
