According to the Press Trust of India Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut said her sister advised her not to accept the role in upcoming film ‘Revolver Rani’.
Raunat, who garnered heaps of critical acclaim for her performance in ‘Queen’, will be playing a goon in the political drama set in rural Madhya Pradesh.
The 27-year-old actress said despite finding the character “impossible to create on screen” she went on to accept the role.
The Press Trust of India quoted Ranaut as saying, “when I went for narration of this film, my sister had come with me. She advised me not to do the film as the character was crazy, twisted, aggressive, abusive… The character seemed difficult, impossible to create on screen. But I took it up.”
The film, which is said to be an unusual love story, will be about Alka Singh, the leader of a political party, and her obsessive love for Rohan Mehra, which will be played by Vir Das.
Ranaut joked after watching the film she doubts anyone would dare to marry her.
"After watching Revolver Rani no one would want to marry me," she added.
Directed by Sir Kabir and produced by Tigmanshu Dhulia, Raunat's next woman-centric film is slated to release on April 25th, 2014.
