According to Indian media reports Varun Dawan’s latest release ‘Main Tera Hero’ earned over 22 crores in its first weekend.
Renowned Indian film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “MainTeraHero Fri 6.60 cr, Sat 8.03 cr, Sun 8.10 cr. Total: Rs 22.73 cr nett. India biz...”
The film opened pretty well, considering India had their T 20 cricket finals against South Africa and Sri Lanka on Friday and Sunday respectively.
The romantic-comedy, which was made on a budget of around Rs 50 crores, was released in over 2000 screens across India, on April 4th.
Directed by David Dhawan and produced by Balaji Motion Pictures, the film also features Ileana D’cruz and Nargis Fakhri in the leading roles.
