According to the Times of India Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh has chosen Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming historical drama ‘Bajirao Mastani’ over Karan Johar’s ‘Shuddhi’.

Ranveer was under consideration to play the lead actor in ‘Shuddhi’ after Hrithik Roshan walked out of the project.

Despite, reportedly expressing his interest in Johar’s film —featuring his ‘Ram Leela’ co-star Deepika Padukone— Ranveer turned it down due to clash with the dates of ‘Bajirao Mastani’, to which he had committed earlier.

Bhansali’s dream project, which initially featured Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai in lead, is based on the life of Peshwa Bajirao and his ladylove Mastani.
