According to The Hollywood reporter DC’s ‘Batman vs Superman’ will be facing a clash at the box-office with Marvel’s ‘Captain America 3’, with its current release date.
Both the highly-anticipated films are slated to release on May 6th, 2016.
Marvel Studios staked out the release date first, before the ‘Man of Steel’ sequel was postponed, but they did not disclose their superhero flick’s name.
Now a source revealed to The Hollywood reporter it will be the third instalment of the successful ‘Captain America’ franchise.
However, it is unlikely the two major superhero flicks will be released on the same date as it can severely damage both of their profit margins.
And as Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige had already revealed he won’t be delaying his film, it seems Warner Bros will have to compromise in the situation.
Zack Snyder’s ‘Batman vs Superman’ will feature Ben Affleck as Batman alongside Henry Cavill who will reprise his role as ‘Superman’.
